Why Rooted To Bloom
Healing That Feels Personal
We See the Whole Person
You are more than a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. We take time to understand your experiences, relationships, environment, strengths, and the patterns shaping your life.

Care Built Around You
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Your clinician will tailor treatment to your age, needs, goals, comfort level, and pace rather than expecting you to fit into one predetermined approach.

Trauma-Informed at the Core
We recognize that behavior and emotional responses often make sense in the context of what someone has experienced. Our clinicians approach treatment with curiosity, compassion, and an understanding of how trauma can affect the brain, body, and relationships.
Real Tools for Real Life
Therapy should make a difference outside the office. We focus on practical skills, greater understanding, and meaningful changes you can use in your relationships and everyday life.

Relationships Matter
Healing does not happen in isolation. When appropriate, we involve parents, caregivers, and family members to strengthen relationships and help positive changes carry beyond the therapy room.

Genuine, Collaborative Connection
We believe therapy works best when you feel heard, respected, and able to be yourself. Our approach is warm, honest, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection.
The Therapists

Meet Haley Sorensen - Founder & Licensed Clinical Social Worker
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the founder of Rooted to Bloom Healing. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with a particular focus on trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, relationship patterns, and the ways past experiences continue to affect the present. Having worked in both residential and outpatient settings, I bring experience supporting individuals and families through complex trauma, behavioral concerns, family conflict, major life transitions, and challenges that cannot always be understood through behavior alone.

My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and grounded in the understanding that healing involves more than changing our thoughts. Trauma can affect the body, nervous system, relationships, beliefs, and sense of self. Sometimes people understand logically why they feel or respond the way they do but still find themselves stuck in the same emotional, physical, or relational patterns. Therapy creates space to understand what is happening beneath the surface while building the regulation, awareness, and connection needed for meaningful change.

I draw from Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, family-systems therapy, and IFS-informed principles. I am also TBRI-informed and incorporate body awareness, sandtray, art, play-based interventions, and principles from Synergetic Play Therapy. These approaches allow therapy to be individualized and developmentally appropriate, particularly when words or insight alone are not enough to express or resolve an experience.

I was raised in Sanpete County and understand the strengths, complexities, and relationships that come with living in a rural community. My therapeutic style is authentic, collaborative, and straightforward. I believe in showing up genuinely, meeting clients where they are, and creating a relationship in which they feel respected and understood. I also believe meaningful therapy sometimes requires us to examine difficult patterns with honesty and compassion.
Whether I am working with an adult carrying the effects of childhood experiences, a child communicating through emotions or behavior, or a family struggling to reconnect, my goal is to help each person feel more grounded, connected, and capable of moving forward.

Meet Bella — Therapy Dog in Training
Bella is the youngest member of the Rooted to Bloom Healing team—and currently our most enthusiastic trainee. She is still a puppy, so right now her biggest responsibilities are learning good manners, becoming comfortable in new environments, and discovering how to remain calm and connected around people of different ages.

As she grows, Bella will complete progressive levels of training focused on obedience, socialization, emotional steadiness, and the skills needed to safely support clients in a therapeutic setting. Our long-term hope is for her to become a trained therapy dog who can offer comfort, connection, and gentle companionship to children, teens, and adults at the practice.

For now, Bella is a therapy dog in training and will not participate in sessions as a trained therapy dog until she is ready and has completed the appropriate preparation. We look forward to sharing her progress as she learns and grows!

Meet Jamie — Clinical Mental Health Counselor
I am a Clinical Mental Health Counselor with experience in outpatient mental health, residential treatment for youth, and rehabilitation settings for individuals with substance use disorders. I specialize in trauma and PTSD, anxiety, and depression, supporting clients whose past experiences continue to affect their emotions, relationships, coping patterns, and ability to feel connected to themselves and others.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in respect for each person’s unique story. I recognize that many of the patterns people struggle with began as ways of adapting, coping, or surviving difficult experiences. Therapy creates space to understand those patterns without judgment while developing new ways to respond, connect, and move forward.

I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based approaches, CBT, DBT, EMDR, mindfulness-based interventions, person-centered therapy, trauma-focused care, and expressive arts. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to each client’s experiences, strengths, needs, and goals. My background in outpatient, residential, and substance use treatment has also given me experience supporting people through complex challenges, recovery, and significant life transitions.

I believe deeply in the resilience of the human spirit and each person’s capacity for meaningful growth. My role is to offer a supportive, nonjudgmental environment while remaining an active partner in the therapeutic process. Together, we can better understand what is happening beneath the surface, reconnect with the strengths you already carry, and work toward greater clarity, connection, and lasting change.
